Heading out for lunch or dinner? There’s Brouhaha Brewery, the historic Maleny Hotel, Dawaat Indian, Capriccios Pizza, Sukhothai, Maleny Lane or King Ludwig’s.
For somewhere a bit special, make a booking at The Terrace Seafood Restaurant, The Tamarind or The Long Apron in Montville.

For a relaxing pre-dinner drink, you can’t go past Spill Wine. If a cold one is on the cards, then the pet-friendly Maleny Hotel Beer Garden is relaxed and friendly and often has live music on weekends. An easy ten minute drive is The Flight Bar Witta, with it’s super cosy atmosphere in winter. Further afield is the Flame Hill Vineyard for wine tasting in Montville. Make sure to check opening times for venues before heading out.

There are a number of bookshops in town, but you can sip coffee and read to your heart’s content at the gorgeous Rosetta Books.

Spend hours trawling through unique finds at Maleny Antiques on the main street. Maple Haus has gorgeous recycled homewares and clothing – their mantra is ‘every item tells a story’. For lovers of hip and groove, pop into Groovy Records – it’s not just records. Then there’s Boho Asylum for gorgeous vintage and pre-loved clothing. The Shed Collective in Coral Street is full of interesting and unique pieces.

Maleny has a weekly market on a Sunday from 8am at the RSL (opposite the pub) or checkout the Hinterland Market Trail for other markets in Witta and Montville.
